The Department of Mathematics is located at Ernst-Zermelo-Straße 1 (formerly Eckerstrasse 1), in the 'Institutsviertel' just northwest of Freiburg's city centre.
Leaving Freiburg central train station, cross the street directly in front of it (Bismarckallee) and follow it to the left (due north, parallel to the railroad tracks). At the following big intersection, keep going north. After having passed the parking lot (on your right), take the footpath to the right. The red building on your left houses the Department of Mathematics. To get to the main entrance, walk a few steps onto Ernst-Zermelo-Straße.
Leave the motorway at the exit Freiburg-Nord and take the B 294 towards Freiburg. After several kilometers, you will arrive at a big intersection. Keep going towards Freiburg by taking a right turn onto the B 3. Follow the signs to Freiburg or Freiburg-Zentrum. Coming into the city, you will arrive at a big intersection with traffic lights. Keep going straight ahead for a while (i.e. towards "Stadtmitte") until you have passed under a railroad bridge. Immediately behind the railroad bridge, take a right turn onto Stefan-Meier-Straße and follow this street. At the third traffic light, take a left turn onto Albertstraße and immediately afterwards a right turn onto Ernst-Zermelo-Straße. The red building on the right houses the Department of Mathematics. The parking lot in front of the building is subject is pay-only. The parking lot behind the department building is for employees only.
Leave the motorway at the exit Freiburg-Mitte and follow the signs to Freiburg-Zentrum. Then follow the signs to Freiburg-Hauptbahnhof (central train station), but go north past the station (on your left) and straight across the next big intersection. At the next traffic light, take a right turn onto Albertstraße and immediately afterwards another right turn onto Ernst-Zermelo-Straße. The red building on the right houses the Department of Mathematics. The parking lot in front of the building is subject is pay-only. The parking lot behind the department building is for employees only.
